Working with a menopause health coach can feel a bit mysterious if you've never experienced it before. When women find out that I help vegan and plant-based women in perimenopause and menopause lose weight and feel better naturally, one of the first things they ask is: "So… what actually happens during the sessions?" You might be wondering whether I'll cover your specific issues — stubborn weight gain, hot flashes, digestive troubles, brain fog, or low energy. You might also be wondering whether meditation and yoga nidra are going to be required.
In this post, I’m going to walk you through exactly what my one-on-one coaching looks like so you can see how I meet you where you are and focus on what matters most to you.

Why Every Menopause Health Coaching Journey Looks Different
No two women’s menopause experiences are exactly the same. That means no two coaching journeys are, either.
Most women come to me laser-focused on weight loss – they want their clothes to fit better, their energy back, and their health markers in a better place. Others are looking for help with symptoms, like managing fatigue, balancing digestion, or supporting bladder health. And some just want a safe, knowledgeable space to ask their questions about menopause, vegan nutrition, and lifestyle adjustments without feeling brushed off or overwhelmed.
You don’t have to fit into a “one-size-fits-all” plan.
How We Build Your Personalized Plan
Our first session together is where we get really clear on your goals and preferences.
I’ll ask you about:
Your top health priorities right now
What you’ve already tried (and how it’s worked… or not)
Your lifestyle – work, home, stress levels, activity, and rest
Your dietary preferences and eating habits
Whether you’re interested in mindfulness or meditation, or if you’d prefer to focus purely on nutrition and lifestyle
From there, we create your personalized roadmap. If weight loss is your priority, we will discuss nutrition strategies that support fat loss while also helping with hormonal health. We also identify which activities would have the highest impact on your health, that are manageable and realistic for you. If stress management is a big challenge, we might incorporate gentle practices like yoga nidra or guided meditation.

What a Typical Session Looks Like
No two sessions are exactly the same, but here’s an idea of what could be included:
Reviewing your progress and wins from the past week
Troubleshooting any challenges you’ve hit (because real life happens!)
Adjusting your plan
Answering your menopause-related questions in a clear, non-judgmental way
Providing you with resources, recipes, or tools that match your goals
Celebrating the changes – big and small – that you’re making
I also check in with you between sessions via chat support, so you’re never left wondering, “Am I doing this right?”

You might be wondering: “What if I don’t have time for this?”
I know how full life can feel, between work deadlines, family responsibilities, and everything else on your plate, it’s easy to put yourself last. That’s why our coaching is designed to fit into your real life, not take it over.
We start with small, doable changes that create momentum without overwhelming you.
These small steps get you moving in the right direction while showing you that it’s possible to make progress even with a busy schedule. We choose changes that feel realistic for you and that you’re confident you can do. If you’re not sure you can fit something in, we simply scale it down until it works.
As our coaching sessions progress, we build on those early wins, adding adjustments that gradually increase your trajectory toward the results you want. And because each change is designed to fit into the pockets of time you already have, it doesn’t require hours of your day. If all you can manage is five to ten minutes here and there, that can still add up to big results over time.
You’ll never have to choose between taking care of yourself and keeping up with the rest of your life... we’ll make sure your plan supports both.
Frequently Asked Questions About Working with a Menopause Health Coach
Q - Do I have to follow a strict meal plan?
A - No. Most women come to me having already tried rigid plans that didn't work, and that's part of why they're here. We build your nutrition approach around your real life, your preferences, and what you can actually sustain. You'll leave sessions with clear direction, not a list of rules to follow perfectly.
Q - What if my main issue isn't weight loss?
A - That's completely fine. While many clients come to me focused on weight, others prioritise sleep, energy, emotional eating, or just having a knowledgeable space to ask questions. Our first session together gets clear on what matters most to you, and everything we do is built around that.
Q - Do I have to be into meditation or yoga nidra?
A - Not at all. These tools are available if stress or sleep are part of the picture and you're open to them, but they're never required. If you'd rather focus purely on nutrition and lifestyle, that's exactly what we'll do.
Q - How much support do I get between sessions?
A - You have chat support between sessions, so you're never left stuck wondering whether you're on the right track. Real life doesn't pause between coaching calls, and your support shouldn't either.
Q - How quickly will I see results?
A - It varies depending on where you're starting and what we're working on together. Most clients start noticing shifts in energy, sleep, or emotional eating within the first few weeks — weight loss tends to follow as the foundation builds. Since we focus on sustainable change rather than quick fixes, the results tend to last.
Q - Is your program only for vegans?
A - It's designed specifically for vegan and plant-based women, because that's where my expertise and my own lived experience sit. If you're mostly plant-based but not strictly vegan, you're still very welcome.

I help women in their 40s and 50s who are vegan or plant-based lose weight in perimenopause and menopause, without overhauling their entire life. As a menopause health coach, Registered Health and Nutrition Practitioner, certified Food Addiction Coach, and meditation and yoga nidra instructor, I bring a whole-person approach to midlife weight loss that goes beyond food. I've been where my clients are — I lost 20 pounds in perimenopause as a vegan, after being told it couldn't be done — and I know what it actually takes.
